Architectural photography demands light falling on buildings at the most flattering angles; actually quite true for photographing most any and all subjects. This generally means early in the day for East facing buildings, late in the day for West, sunset for interior lights to balance with exterior, etc. So, while in Pewaukee to photograph some commercial properties, and waiting for the sun to position itself between photography sessions, I found myself driving and strolling… responding to textures and patterns… as they appeared and surprised me.
