An old (1973) poetograph (words and pictures working together)
surfaced during the move;
including the kodalith negative for text;
along with the original 5×7 and 120 negatives;
stripped into that kodalith negative.
Printed in a limited edition of 32;
on silver RC paper.
Spent 10 years “there.”
Then 30 years in Mequon.
Now… a month “here…”
Feels quite disconcerting…
yet precise.
That same turn of the century mahogany camera,
used as a plant stand in 1973,
now sits in a Germantown cold storage unit.
I don’t know how to let go of these things. Who wants these things?
